Glanmire Football Club offer deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Sheila, Luke, Aidan and the extended Hackett family on the sad passing of Jim RIP.  Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.


HACKETT (Glanmire, Cork): On March 16th, 2026, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Marymount Hospice and in the presence of his loving family, JAMES (Jim), beloved husband of Sheila and much loved father of Luke, Aidan, Kate, Mark, Sandra, Karen and David.
 
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and family, sisters Joan and Mary, daughter-in-law Zara, sons-in-law Peter and Conor, David’s fiancée Shelly, Luke’s partner Rachel, Aidan’s partner Niamh, grandchildren Tadhg, Ruairí, Cian, Theo, Noah, baby Michael and baby Olivia, brothers-in-law Terry and Jerry, niece Gillian, nephews David, Brian and Paul, extended family and a large circle of friends.
 
Reposing at Barry Bros. Funeral Home, Hazelwood, Glanmire on Wednesday (March 18th) from 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday (March 19th) at 2.00pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Springhill, 

Funeral afterwards to St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Little Island.
