U10/U11 football street leagues reaches its conclusion

Well done to all the U10s and U11s who finished their football leagues in the Pike on Monday 23rd October.

Despite all the recent poor weather, the evening turned out to be dry and calm and the pitch was in great condition .

On the evening , Sligo just about prevailed against a battling Louth side who led at half time. However,  football was the overall winner with some great scores from all teams over 4 nights of  high drama and tight finishes .

Well done as well to organisers Philip Hogan and Niall O’Driscoll and all the coaches involved with the 8 teams.

Special Thanks to Cork senior Sean Powter and u21 player Sean Wilson who were on hand to present the medals.

Thanks also to referees on the night; Drew Long, Joe & Thomas Lonergan and Rory Barry .

Crowley Engineering kindly laid on treats for all the boys and this rounded off proceedings on a nice high.
