Glanmire 1-07 Aghabullogue 1-9

Glanmire Intermediate Footballers gave way to Aghabullogue on Saturday night last in Pairc Uí Rinn by 2 points. Glanmire, with points from Daniel Molden and a Brendan O’Connell 45 kept Glanmire in touch. Aghabullogue went in at the break leading by 3 points, 0-06 to 0-03.

Glanmire made two changes at the break and brought on Eamonn McEvoy and Ger O’Callaghan for David O’Brien and James Burkley. The two changes made a significant impact, with McEvoy registering an excellent point after a strong run. Michael Cussen at the edge of the square began to exert his influence and palmed a ball into the path of Molden who finished to the net. Glanmire were now 4 points ahead.

Midway through the 2nd half however, Barry O’Sullivan received a black card, and Glanmire felt the full effect of this. Aghabullogue came back into the game and scored a goal and 3 points to see out the game. Glanmire had chances towards the end to get something out of the game but Aghabullogue’s experience saw them win on a scoreline of Aghabullogue 1-9 Glanmire 1-07.
